We make every effort to closely monitor the latest innovations in modern dentistry.
Whether it is the latest development in intra-oral cameras or X-ray equipment that
exposes you to 50% less radiation and provides films instantaneously, the Arroyo
Center evaluates the latest technologies to incorporate those that can help us give
you the best treatment possible. It is for this reason that we have incorporated
digital X-rays, an intra-oral camera, and air abrasion technology into our practice.


Sterilization

Your health and peace of mind are always our primary concern; therefore, we use
state-of-the-art sterilization procedures. After each patient's visit, the treatment area is
thoroughly disinfected. We ultrasonically clean and heat-sterilize all non-disposable
instruments. Our staff wears gloves and masks during procedures. Please feel free
to ask us for information on the measures we take to ensure the safety of you and your
children, or a tour of our sterilization area. You have every right to expect complete safety
while in our surgery. We therefore employ the highest standards of cross-infection
control – using a combination of methods – to ensure the surgery environment achieves
clinical sterility. Our clinical staff are regularly trained and updated in cross-infection
control techniques. We have a written statement of cross infection control policy which
is regularly audited. After every patient, all instruments are sterilized with an autoclave,
and other surgical items are supplied ready-sterilized and disposed of after use.
We use every opportunity to use disposable once only items even though they are
often a more expensive option. All surfaces are disinfected, and cups, gloves and
hand towels are used only once before being thrown away.
